Installing Xaman
This guide will walk you through the process of installing and setting up the Xaman wallet on your device. Xaman is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Download Xaman
First, download the Xaman app from your device's app store:
Important Security Note
Always download Xaman from official sources (App Store or Google Play). Never download the app from unofficial websites or links to avoid potential security risks.
Create a New Account
After installing the app, follow these steps to create a new account:
- 1.Open the Xaman app on your device
- 2.Tap "Get Started" or "Create a new account"
- 3.Choose between creating a regular account or importing an existing account
- 4.For a new account, select "Create a new account"
- 5.Follow the prompts to set up your account security
Secure Your Account
Securing your Xaman wallet is crucial. Follow these steps:
Set a Strong Passcode
You'll be prompted to create a 6-digit passcode. This passcode will be required whenever you open the app or sign transactions.
Tip: Choose a unique passcode that you don't use for other applications. Avoid easily guessable combinations like 123456 or your birth date.
Enable Biometric Authentication
For added security and convenience, enable biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID on iOS, or fingerprint on Android) if your device supports it.
Back Up Your Secret Numbers
Xaman will provide you with a set of secret numbers that you must write down and store securely. These numbers are essential for recovering your account if you lose access to your device.
Critical Security Warning
Never share your secret numbers with anyone. Store them in a secure, offline location. Consider using a fireproof safe or a safety deposit box for long-term storage.
Fund Your Account
To use your Xaman wallet with the PANDA platform, you'll need to fund it with XAH tokens:
- 1.Tap on your account in the Xaman app
- 2.Copy your account address (a long string starting with "r")
- 3.Use an exchange or another wallet to send XAH to this address
Once your account is funded, you're ready to connect to the PANDA platform and start investing in tokenized real estate.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during installation or setup:
- •App Won't Install: Ensure your device meets the minimum requirements and has enough storage space.
- •Can't Create Account: Check your internet connection and try again.
- •Biometrics Not Working: Ensure biometrics are properly set up in your device settings.
